Openings

Like the Opaque Elements you need to include al ofl the external doors, windows and roof lights.

When clicking on ‘Opening’ you will see the following (Fig 1).

For each opening you can either; add a new, delete or edit.

To add a new opening simply click ‘New Door’ and the following window will be displayed (Fig 2).

Subsequently, if you wish to edit or delete you willneed to select the row and click on the appropriate button.

When wanting to add a new opening (i.e. door, window, roof light) the same window (Fig 2) will be displayed. In this case, the solid door is located in the main external wall, on the north side of the house and has a U-Value and area of 3W/m2K and 1.8m2 respectively.

The areas can be calculated by the FSAP software. This is done by entering them into the Width and Height menus, if there is more than one then rather than entering it in again you could increase the Count. Also, please note that prior to entering the windows you should have already completed the Opaque Elements as you will need to assign the opening to the relevant wall or roof.

As stated, the entries for the windows and roof lights are almost identical.
